Best sushi I've had in a while. It was melt-in-your mouth and drool good. Exceptionally fresh It was a really busy time when we went so the wait was unbearably long, so I highly recommend ordering pick up or going during non peek hours (not a Friday night). The staff were lovely and apologized for the delay. I am still giving them 5 stars because it was so delicious. It isn't very big, just a few small tables - but there was high traffic for order pick-ups. I will order here again but for pick up

Easily the best sushi spot in the West end, I have been to Sushi Eki upwards of 15 times and it has never disappointed me once. The sushi is fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced ratios of rice and fish. The rolls are tasty and the sashimi is generously portioned and high quality. I have gotten take out, dined in with small and large groups, and Sushi Eki is ALWAYS consistently fantastic no matter what time of the day and what circumstance. This is coming from someone who frequents upscale omakase experiences in many cities including Tokyo, Paris, and Toronto, so I eat a lot of sushi. The price for quality here cannot be beaten for a mom-and-pop local spot (i.e., not upscale but still incredible) compared to any typical sushi joint in the city. I highly recommend and love that they are so busy on the weekends, they deserve all the business! The gentleman working the counter in the white/blue bandana is always so friendly with us and they even offer complimentary items (roll, popsicle, etc). I love this business and wish them all the success!!

Go here and get the torched sushi and the Mountain Fuji Roll They are incredible. The sushi tasted fresh and the rice was done really well. Order ahead as their wait time can get lengthy on the weekend. They also have a lot of rolls with cream cheese and/or smoked salmon. They are not my preferences. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is quite small. It has maybe 8 tables.

We love it. Last time I had the baked Mountain Fuji Roll and some torched spicy salmon, those were my favourites! It was my first time trying a baked roll and it exceeded my expectations and I forgot to take the pic! I was amazed by the flavour consistency and service as we went there a second time after a month or so from the first visit. It felt comforting. The first visit we wanted to try different things and ended up having a combo with assorted sushi, a rainbow roll, and of course the Signature House Eki Roll which was the winner of the day until I got to try the torched sushi

Best sushi I've had in the west end of town. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. Staff was amazing. Complimentary green tea is a nice touch. Price is on par with other sushi places. Highly recommend trying Sushi Eki out!

Have had Sushi Eki several times and each time the service and quality of food is great. Their torched salmon are especially good and the hand rolls are just the right size. Their tempura appetizers are also really good. The pricing is reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. Would recommend calling in advance to reserve a table as it can often get busy.

Eki Sushi is hands down the best sushi spot in the Ottawa area. They consistently maintain top quality, and it truly shows in every order. I’ve been coming here for years—first when I lived nearby, and even now after moving further away, it's still well worth the drive. The quality never disappoints. The shop is small with limited seating, but I always order online for takeout, and it’s always quick, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend!
